* Release 0.30.1 (2006 Jun 12)

Add little fix from Petr Salinger <Petr.Salinger@t-systems.cz> for GNU/kFreeBSD.

* Release 0.30.0 (2004 Mai 31)

This is a long-due update release (last release was back in 1999),
fixing two pending problems (powerpc, BSD), got some long-due internal
changes done. Only some new features for better scripting ability are
added.

The X interface is rather obsolete, and not really maintained. I
(again) left it in the package, though ;). Just use the ncurses
interface (gom -it) if possible.

As for ALSA support, afaics there's no point in a gom driver backend,
as gom's internal API does not support all ALSA features. So, the same
practical result is achieved by using ALSA's OSS compatibility
modules. If you need special ALSA support, use some dedicated ALSA
mixer utility.

* Release 0.29.103 (1999 Oct 23)
Minor changes. See ChangeLog.

* Release 0.29.102 (1999 Aug 27)
All known bugs removed, some minor changes, new example dir.

* Release 0.29.99 (1999 Jan 23)
New config and settings file scheme (see ChangeLog) in respect to better
handling of several mixers / mixer settings / initialization / bugs and
problems with the old scheme.
Adding gomconfig, a script to configure gom.
All known bugs removed.

* Release 0.29.10 (1997 Sep 23)
New config / setting files scheme (see ChangeLog), superseding the
old one (the old files need to be updated, though).
If you want to use the old ones, you can update them using something
like

gom -q `cat ~/.gom/<settings>` -v1 -S<settings>

* Release 0.29.9 (1997 Aug 23)
Special behaviour if --device is 1st arg.

* Release 0.29.8 (1997 Jul 31)
Some bugs fixed, two new actions.

* Rel. 0.29.7
This is a "pre-release" to 0.30 until it is stable. Settings file format has
changed -- and there is no way to convert the old files. Commmand line
interface opions have changed too (though most one-char options are the
same still). Please check the new man page.

* Rel. 0.24b
I call this release beta, as I changed the source a lot without much testing,
did not update the man page, and there will be more changes soon (see ChangeLog).

* Rel. 0.23
I am prepared for the administrative overload. ru2?

* Rel. 0.22
Improved "porting", minor changes in the X gomii, major changes in terminal
gomii.

* Rel. 0.20
Apart from some minor changes (see ChangeLog), the basic new thing about this
distr. is in fact use of GNU autconf/automake. Due to that, the source code
share of this distribution is now (Rel 0.20) down to about 30 % ;).
