Starting version 3.0.5 and 3.1.0 annotation-detector works fine in most Java EE Application 
Servers.

GlassFish OSE   | 4.0, 4.1          | No issues
Oracle WebLogic | 12.1.3            | No issues. Support added in version 3.0.5
IBM WebSphere   | -                 | Not tested (yet)
