<p>GNOME 3 présente une interface utilisateur complètement repensée pour ne pas interférer avec votre travail, minimiser les distractions et vous aider à faire ce que vous souhaitez. La première fois que vous vous connectez, vous voyez un bureau vide et la barre supérieure.</p>

<p>The top bar provides access to your windows and applications, your
calendar and appointments, and
<link xref="status-icons">system properties</link> like sound, networking,
and power. In the system menu in the top bar, you can change the volume or
screen brightness, edit your <gui>Wi-Fi</gui> connection details, check your
battery status, log out or switch users, and turn off your computer.</p>

click the <gui>Activities</gui> button, or just move your mouse pointer to
the top-left hot corner. You can also press the
<key xref="keyboard-key-super">Super</key> key on your keyboard. You can
see your windows and applications in the overview. You can also just start
typing to search your applications, files, folders, and the web.</p>

at the top left of the screen and select the <gui>Activities Overview</gui>

<p>Sur la gauche de la vue d'ensemble, vous trouvez le <em>dash</em>. Le dash affiche vos applications préférées et celles en cours d'exécution. Cliquez sur une icône du dash pour lancer cette application. Si l'application est déjà en cours d'exécution, elle est mise en surbrillance. Un clic sur l'icône fait apparaître la fenêtre la plus récemment utilisée. Vous pouvez aussi faire glisser l'icône dans la vue des activités, ou sur n'importe quel espace de travail à droite.</p>
<p>Un clic droit sur l'icône affiche un menu qui permet de choisir n'importe-quelle fenêtre d'une application en cours d'exécution, ou d'ouvrir une nouvelle fenêtre. Vous pouvez aussi cliquer sur l'icône en maintenant appuyée la touche <key>Ctrl</key> pour ouvrir une nouvelle fenêtre.</p>
<p>Lorsque vous arrivez dans la vue d'ensemble, vous êtes au départ dans la vue d'ensemble des fenêtres. Un aperçu dynamique de toutes les fenêtres de l'espace de travail actuel est affiché.</p>

people from using it. You can also quickly switch users without logging out
completely to give somebody else access to the computer, or you can
suspend or power off the computer from the menu. If you have a screen
that supports vertical or horizontal rotation, you can quickly rotate the
screen from the system menu. If your screen does not support rotation,
you will not see the button.</p>

<p>When you lock your screen, or it locks automatically, the lock screen is
displayed. In addition to protecting your desktop while you’re away from your
computer, the lock screen displays the date and time. It also shows

<p>La liste des fenêtres en bas de l'écran donne accès à toutes les fenêtres et applications ouvertes et permet de les réduire et de les restaurer rapidement.</p>
<p>À droite de la liste des fenêtres, GNOME affiche un identifiant du bureau actuel, par exemple <gui>1</gui> si vous êtes dans le premier bureau. Cet identifiant montre aussi le nombre total de bureaux disponibles. Pour passer à un autre bureau, cliquez sur l'identifiant et choisissez le bureau voulu dans le menu.</p>
