#!F-adobe-helvetica-medium-r-normal--18*
#!N
#!N  #!Rdxssm DXSetSeriesMember
#!N #!N Function #!N #!N Adds an indexed member to a
Series Object. #!N #!N Syntax #!N  #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18*   #include <dx/dx.h> Series DXSetSeriesMember(Series
s, int n, double position, Object o) #!EF #!N #!N Functional
Details #!N #!N Adds the Object  #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18*   o #!EF as the
 #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* n #!EF th member (as specified by the zero-based index
 #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18*   n #!EF ) to the Series  #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18*   s #!EF .
It also sets the Series position to the floating-point value #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18*
position #!EF . A Series is intended to represent a single
Field sampled across some parameter, such as time or temperature (
 #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* position #!EF contains the value of this sampled parameter). #!N
#!N Generally, members of a Series  #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18*   s #!EF must be
added sequentially, with indices starting at 0. If, however, an already
existing index is given in #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* n #!EF , then that
member in #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* s #!EF will be replaced by the Object
 #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18*   o #!EF . The type of a Series is set
the first time a typed member is added; subsequent members are
required to match this type. #!N #!N The index #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* n
#!EF provides a convenient mechanism for indexing the members of a
Series. The position value is actually a piece of metadata to
be associated with each member of the Series, which when used
with the values associated with the other members, provides a means
of generating intermember data (e.g., when using the Streakline module). #!N
#!N #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* DXSetSeriesMember #!EF does not enforce any restrictions on the
Series #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* position #!EF value; duplicate or non-monotonic values can be
set. However, many Realization modules require the position values to form
a monotonic sequence, and if the value does represent time, some
modules also require the values to be positive. #!N #!N For
an example of one use of Series, see #!Lstreakl,dxall954 h Streakline #!EL in IBM
Visualization Data Explorer User's Reference. #!N #!N Return Value #!N #!N
Returns #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* NULL #!EF and sets an error code. #!N #!N
