Details #!N #!N This module partitions a data set for parallel
processing on an SMP multiprocessor machine. (You must be using Data
Explorer SMP to take advantage of this feature.) Its output is
a composite field, which is treated as a single entity by
other modules. #!N #!I0 #!N #!N #!I0 #!N  #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18*    #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18*   input
#!EF #!EF #!I50 #!N is the input object to be partitioned.
If this parameter specifies a group, each group member is partitioned
with the same  #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18*   n #!EF and  #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18*   size #!EF parameters.
#!N #!I0 #!N  #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18*    #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18*   n #!EF #!EF #!I50 #!N is
the approximate number of partitions to be created. However, the module
will not create partitions smaller than #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* size #!EF (see below).
#!N #!I0 #!N  #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18*    #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18*   size #!EF #!EF #!I50 #!N is
the minimum number of connection elements per partition. #!N #!N If
 #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18*   n #!EF *  #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18*   size #!EF is larger than the
total number of points, the output number of partitions may be
smaller than  #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18*   n #!EF #!N #!N If you do not
specify  #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18*   n #!EF or  #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18*   size #!EF , appropriate default
values are supplied, depending on the number of processors available. #!I0
#!N #!N Note: On a uniprocessor machine, n = 1 by
default. Consequently, the same programs can be run on uniprocessor and
multiprocessor machines without modification. #!N #!N Components #!N #!N All components
in the input are propagated to the output. #!N #!N Example
