Memory being managed by <a href="thread_alloc.xml" target="_top"><span style='white-space: nowrap'>thread_alloc</span></a>
 has two states,
currently in use by the specified thread,
and quickly available for future use by the specified thread.
This function informs the program how much memory is in use.
